It may happen that you are uploading or downloading, and the system appears to kick out of the transfer for no reason. This could be due to any number of reasons, such as invalid filename, low disk space, low account balance, not enough time left, etc. During a batch file transfer (like with Zmodem) you may not be able to see the error message actually being displayed. The WHY command will keep a copy of the error in case you do miss it.
